Consultancy & Support

Straight-talking IT advice and hands-on support — with the same consultant who knows your business, every time.

Business IT Consultancy

Friendly, professional onsite computer consultancy for clients across Ipswich, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and throughout East Anglia.

When you work with us you benefit from consistent support from the same consultant. That lets us build a strong working relationship and a deeper understanding of your business, so our advice is genuinely useful rather than generic.

You'll have direct access to your consultant's mobile number — no call centres, no queues. If we've been onsite and you have a quick question, just call. People prefer dealing with people, and that personal connection is central to our service.

Continuity you can rely on

If your regular consultant is unavailable, a secondary consultant already familiar with your setup steps in. Every client is assigned both a primary and secondary consultant, both known to you, so holidays and absences never leave you stranded.

We aim to become your IT department

We can schedule regular maintenance visits so non-urgent issues get addressed proactively. Users often live with small problems that go unreported — we encourage open communication so we can help everyone work more efficiently.

Our consultancy is flexible. You can pre-pay for time and choose a reduced monthly fee structure giving access to a set number of hours weekly, monthly or annually. We also help with IT budget planning and system reviews, so you understand where your IT spend goes and where savings can be made.

Independent advice. While we're resellers for various manufacturers, our advice remains completely independent. We're happy to assess and explain third-party solutions in plain English — even ones we don't supply.

Flexible & Direct Support

Problems will arise within any IT infrastructure. We offer a range of support options — from fixed price to time-based — to suit how your business actually works.

Telephone & Remote Support

Our entry-level contract, covering telephone and remote assistance on any of your IT problems. A support call is defined as hardware or software that was working but has since stopped or isn't working correctly.

Onsite Server Support

Covers the most critical computer in your business. Includes onsite visits of up to one day per incident, with any additional time charged at a reduced rate. Priced per server, per month — and if you don't call us out within your contract period, we offer a discount at renewal.

Onsite Network Support

For when your server and PCs work individually but can't communicate. Covers broadband routers, firewalls, network switches and cabling. Priced monthly, with the same no-call-out discount at renewal.

Preventative Maintenance Visits

Invaluable, and our favourite kind of support. We attend site at an agreed interval to ensure servers and PCs have the latest Windows security updates, check disk space, verify backups, run a test restore and complete other relevant checks.

Pre-Paid Consultancy

A way to turn consultancy into a predictable monthly cost. You might decide you want us for two days a year — we give you a discounted price and spread the cost over 12 months.

Holiday Cover for IT Staff

Remote and onsite cover when the person responsible for IT is away on business, off sick or on holiday. We charge based on the days of cover required and split it over 12 months at a discounted rate.

All-Inclusive Support

We cover your IT for a fixed cost, priced per person using a computer, with extra benefits included.

Tailored contracts. If none of the above fits your organisation, we'll adapt a support contract that does.

Proactive Monitoring

Included free with all support contracts — a service that continually monitors your servers, PCs and network infrastructure for performance, security and vulnerabilities.

Monitoring runs continuously and alerts us to issues by email and SMS, so we're often fixing a problem before you've noticed it. Here's what we keep an eye on:

  • Microsoft updates
  • Backup status
  • Hard drive space
  • Hardware faults
  • Warranty status
  • Network performance
  • Network connectivity
  • Memory usage
  • Hard drive failures
  • Scheduled and managed updates
  • Third-party software updates

PCI Compliance Consultancy

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is an information security standard for organisations handling branded credit cards from the major card schemes.

It's mandated by the card brands and administered by the PCI Security Standards Council — and the questionnaire can be genuinely baffling.

Confused by all the questions? Don't panic.

  • We'll run through the questionnaire with you
  • Update your network and firewall to be compliant
  • Run the various scans required to maintain compliance

Tell us what's slowing you down and we'll recommend the right fix — no jargon, no hard sell.
